SITCHC.org, the Summer Institute of theory at Hartwick College, is dedicated to nurturing and deepening faith. We provide an environment where individuals can grow spiritually and intellectually, fostering a deeper connection to their beliefs. Our mission is to help individuals strengthen their faith, build a solid foundation in Christian teachings, and apply these principles to their lives. Through workshops, seminars, and community events, we aim to empower individuals to live a faith-centered life.

2025 SESSIONS - JULY 27th THRU AUGUST 1st

Join our faith workshops designed to deepen your connection to God and the teachings of Christianity. These interactive sessions aim to enlighten and inspire participants on their faith journey.

Workshops & Seminars

Two types of classes are offered:
Courses meet for one hour each day Monday -- Friday

 

Topics this year include:
• Introduction to Old Testament -- and Intro to New Testament
• The Art of Preaching Resurrection
• Introduction to Christian Worship – and Intro to Christian Theology
• Death, Dying, Grief, and Lament

 

Seminars (2.5-hours) Monday -- Thursday (afternoons and evenings).
 

Topics this year include:
• Wives and Mothers of Old Testament Kings
• The Council of Nicaea: What Happened 1700 Years Ago?
• The “Burned-over District” of New York State
• How Can the Church Change and Shift?
• Christian Nationalism
• Immigrants & Refugees in the Bible and Today
• Church Finances
